September Indictments in Grafton County

Zachary Bailey, 27, of River Road, Bridgewater, is facing a special felony charge of selling fentanyl to a woman in Campton during August 2019 with the purchaser later dying from its use. Bailey also faces a Class B felony in that alleged sale.

The indictments are among those handed up by a Grafton County Superior Court Grand Jury during its September session. An indictment is not a finding of guilt, but an independent jury’s decision, after hearing from police, that sufficient evidence exists to warrant a court trial.

Nicholas Wesson Craw, 55, of Mount Cardigan Road, Alexandria, is facing a Class A felony charge of first-degree assault in the stabbing of another male in the abdomen and a Class B felony charge of second-degree assault for allegedly causing a laceration to the scalp and ear of the victim.

Burton Johnson, 72, of Tunnel Road, Grafton, is facing three special felony charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault for allegedly inappropriately touching a male under the age of 13 and one count for touching the same juvenile while under the age of 16, with the alleged assaults taking place in Canaan and Grafton.

Erik K. Jorgenson, 31, of Blair Road, Campton, is facing seven Class A felony charges of possessing child sexual abuse photos for allegedly having photos of nudes under 18 years of age.

David U. Petrell, 37, of Circle Drive, Ashland, is facing a Class A felony charge of attempted arson for allegedly pouring gasoline around the front entrance of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Holderness in March, and having a butane lighter in his possession. He also faces Class B felony charges of reckless conduct and criminal mischief for allegedly firing a Mossberg shotgun into the hall.

Kirk Stutes, 35, of Farm Road, Dover, is facing Class A felony charges of conspiracy, being an accomplice in a burglary, and receiving stolen property, a plasma cutting machine, taken from Holderness School in Holderness on April 11. Stutes also faces a special felony charge of possessing heroin while in Holderness.

Jennifer L. Chipman, 43, of Lodge Road, Lincoln, is facing a Class A felony charge of possessing cocaine in Campton after having previously been convicted of possessing controlled drugs.

Jarid Ethier, 34, of North Road, Alexandria, is facing Class A felony charges of possessing fentanyl  and methamphetamine after having been previously convicted of having drugs on the premises.

Craig T. Hill, 47, of Millstone Drive, Danbury, is facing two Class B felony charges of possessing methamphetamine and one Class B felony charge of possessing fentanyl.
