Although we have been spending time in northern New Hampshire for more than two decades, and have owned a cottage off Route 16 in Wentworth’s Location since 2016, our exploration of the Magalloway River and Lake Umbagog has been by kayak — which is great for seeing the wildlife that abounds in the region: eagles, loons, herons, deer, moose, beavers, and myriad other creatures that appear by day or night.
